If you were to look in the dictionary under “Black and Grey Realism,” you’d see a picture of David Vega. Few artists in the world approach David’s quality, attention to detail, and painstaking perfection – he is a master of the craft.
Much like other masters in the industry, David did not begin as a tattooer. Originally an art student with a passion for character design, he was caught up in the local tattooing scene by way of friends as a side job – small pieces, traditional pieces, and names.
Influences by other legends such as Mr. Cartoon and Bob Tyrell led to a single portrait – which led to further growth – and a new focus for a career.
Fourteen years later and now recognized as one of the preeminent black and grey tattooers in the world, David is a dear friend and member of the Bishop Pro-Team – and we are truly honored to release an Artist Series Bishop Wand in collaboration with him. Only 150 units of this limited edition machine will be made, never to be repeated again.
We hope you love it as much as we do, and we look forward to David’s continued work.
