Mike Espinoza, also known as Creeper, was a tattooer in a time when it was unfashionable to be one. He worked at the Original Good Time Charlie's Tattoo Parlor in East LA in the 1970's, alongside many, many fellow great tattoo artists such Charlie Cartwright, Jack Rudy, Freddy Negrete, Shanghai Kate, and Ed Hardy. His style of soft black and grey, both in pencil as well as tattoo, was crucially influential in the field of fine line black and grey.
As one of the OGs of tattooing, Creeper was a master tattoo machine builder and during his time he made machines for some of the most famous tattooers around - as an inspiration to Franco Vescovi, his contributions to the world of tattooing are deep rooted - both to us and countless others.
We planned to release a series of machines with him, just as we had with Norm - unfortunately, life did not work out the way we had hoped and Creeper passed before we were able to bring this to fruition. As a result, we have a very limited selection of extra tattoo machine frames - these frames are being sold with all money raised (not just profits) going to help his family in this incredibly difficult time - he was the only income they had.
