As one of Franco Vescovi's biggest inspirations, Gill 'the Drill' Montie has been tattooing longer than most of your favorite artists have been alive. His distinctive style is instantly recognizable - red eyed, grinning skulls - a design that we have featured on the packaging for this Special Edition machine.
Born in 1954, Gill started drawing and drafting designs in 1969 - an artistic career that was put on pause by serving 2 years in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After his time overseas, Gill started as an apprentice in 1974 under the teaching of Doc Dog and has been tattooing ever since. Gill was also a formative influence on Franco Vescovi, who first met him in the mid 90s. As a legend in the world of tattooing and a coproducer of one of the most important tattooing conventions, the Inkslingers' Ball, he impacted Franco's perception on the industry as a role model of what a genuine tattoo artist should be. Because of this, Franco considers it an honor to be able to look out for the old timers in the industry as they are a small group that is only getting smaller. It is Franco's belief that it is up to us as a community to make sure we protect and provide for them - as such, we are honored to offer this Gill Montie Artist Series Power Wand Advanced.

The Gill Montie Edition Power Wand Advance is part of Bishop’s Artist Series, a collaboration with five select black and grey artists, each represented through a unique colorway and limited production run. Gill's edition launches third and is limited to 100 machines total, consisting of 85 packers, 10 shaders, and 5 liners.
The Power Wand is known for its Faulhauber motor, solid build quality, and smooth performance. This edition is tuned to support black and grey tattooing, offering consistent power delivery, low vibration, and balanced handling for extended sessions. Bishop Tattoo Supply offers a one-year manufacturers’ warranty for all tattoo machines and products that we make. Our machines are handmade in the USA using both domestically machine parts and high-quality international motors – we warranty our machine parts for the original owner. The warranty is for a year from the date of purchase. For machines, the warranty covers manufacturers’ defects – it is voided if you overlubricate or drop your machine or use your machine in a function it’s not intended for. It’s also voided if you use non-authorized parts or attempt to open the motor yourself. For non-machine items, please contact our team as we handle this on a case-by-case basis.
If your machine has issues within one year from the date of purchase, send the tattoo machine along with your receipt following the instructions here: REPAIRS and we will fix or replace it as our technicians determine.
The Warranty is non-transferrable and applies only to the original owner. Bishop Tattoo Supply reserves the right to make exceptions on an individual basis.

Most orders will ship within 2 to 3 business days – machines may take up to 14 business days to ship. Our warehouse closes at 5pm Central Standard time – orders are picked by 1pm CST, so please plan accordingly.
The warehouse is closed on weekends and holidays – orders placed on Friday after 1pm CST will ship on Monday. You will receive an email with tracking when your order ships.
International customers may be charged import taxes and duties – these are set by the local government and are the responsibility of the receiver to pay – they are not included in the shipping charge or purchase price.
